Vanderbilt football could be at risk of losing another key player to a highly competitive career outside of football. Two years ago Vanderbilt football lost starting quarterback, Patton Robinette, after his decision to attend medical school. This year, tight end Sam Dobbs is being heavily recruited to lead Amazon’s drone delivery service.
During his U5 season in tee ball, Garcia hit an eye-popping 0.787 from the plate with 85 home runs and 200 RBIs shattering league records. Corbin believes that Garcia could go down as one of Vandy’s greatest athletes of all time, joining former NFL star Jay Cutler, Cy Young winner David Price, and Bachelorette winner Jordan Rodgers.
With the new season only days away, Vanderbilt football coach Derek Mason is still hard at work on the recruiting trail. Following this season, Kyle Shurmur, will only have one year of eligibility remaining. But Mason believes he’s found the perfect replacement.
