Upon his return to his former high school in Tampa, Florida, Vanderbilt first-year Stephen Williams was met with worship, awe, and reverence. Current high school seniors lined up before the now-deity for several miles, each prepared with a bouquet of roses and at least fifteen questions about how to get into Vanderbilt and what college is like.

As a freshman, it’s only natural that you want to use your newly attained freedom to take any and all opportunities to “go out.” Really, it seems like anyone who is anyone goes out on a nightly basis (#workhardplayhard). Even if that’s not your crowd, you feel like you’re missing out if you prioritize sleep, grades, or mental health over partying and/or clubbing with your cool, hip partygoer friends.
First-year Franklin Buckley, 18, was reported on Saturday to have had no goddamn clue which way to anchor during the annual Anchor Dash event. As a result, the student was seen attempting to alternately anchor up, anchor south, and anchor in the general direction of Furman Hall.
