Daniel Day-Lewis Predicted to Receive Best Supporting Actor Nod for Portrayal of Presidential Cabinet
After a shocking turn as president-elect Donald Trump in the polarizing Election 2016 (Dir. Christopher Nolan), Daniel Day-Lewis has chosen to move forward with the role of Donald Trump in the sequel Presidency 2017 and a new set of roles in a spin-off film, The Cabinet. In The Cabinet, Daniel Day-Lewis will be putting his method-acting skills to the test once again to portray all the members of Donald Trump’s presidential cabinet, including Ben Carson, Rex Tillerson, Rick Perry, and Nikki Haley. Although The Cabinet will not be released until January 20, critics expect that Daniel Day-Lewis’s portrayal of more than twenty original characters will be worthy of Oscar gold.
