Letter from the Editor

Four months went by in the blink of an eye. Just like that, my tenure as Editor in Chief of The Slant is over. And I must say, what a successful four months it has been. We amassed hundreds of new followers on Instagram, posted dozens of articles and headlines on our website, and sent a man to the moon. One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind. Perhaps my crowning achievement was the release of Billboard-topping album Cowboy Carter. No, Beyoncé didn’t do that. I did that. In addition, how could we forget about my efforts in eradicating smallpox from the planet? Crazy how much we can accomplish in just four months, if only we dare to grow.

As leadership in The Slant transitions this summer, I would like to remind our readers to stay loyal. No one may be as prolific and incredible an Editor in Chief as I, but they can probably do an okay job, and this publication will still be entertaining to read. Also, you already bought in for $500, and if you recruit 10 more sisters to help distribute our life changing beauty products made for the modern woman, you can move to the next level of the pyramid and unlock EVEN GREATER benefits.

This isn’t the last you’ll be seeing of me. I’m off to spend a semester abroad looking at art and drinking lots of wine. Look, I hear you, but I swear it’ll be different from all the other semesters I’ve had. This time I’ll be in a foreign country. But I’ll be back in the spring, ready to wreak havoc again. Just you wait.

Sayonara, faithful readers and fellow satirists.
